About, Voyage Through The Lava Lamp

Voyage Through the Lava Lamp, is more than an album. It is the soundtrack to your lava lamp. That’s right, put it in your changer and gaze into the lava. Some incense might help but that music is sure to transform your room into a multi-sensory experience. The backwards guitars are positively going to move your mind as well as the sitars and voices chanting and trumpets singing. You might be taken off the planet by the sound of NASA engineers putting someone on the moon. You might watch the seasons change as a Ferris wheel rolls through the streets. You might decide to paint the room round and be reflective in it. But in the end you’ll hear, “Sweet Dreams Moonbeam,” and you’ll have to agree with yourself —all in all, it was a pretty good trip.

Barry Morrow even took time to comment below.  The Electric Marmalade is an authentic 60s band.

Voyage Through the Lava Lamp is first of all an album of great songs.I was there in the late 60’s and I want to testify that this record would have been one that contained multiple hits! Robin Reda is a great writer and guitarist who truly loves and embraces the “Psychedelic” and nails the sound of that period of time! Pick one up and trip out my friends. Go there.
Buy this CD and have a 60s retro party!

Robin is a genius! Keep up the good work. I’ve always been a fan. The lyrics are quirky and interesting. Vocals are truly original and distinct. Groovy. Can’t wait for the next one.
A genuine “classic!”

The only thing missing from the psychedelic ’70s was this superlative concept album. Had it been released at that time, it almost certainly would have been a smash hit and be regarded today as a classic. No matter. Good things come to those who wait.
